The Reverend Vet
The daughter of a church organist, Jenny became disillusioned with the church at a young age, feeling it did not speak to her contemporary culture. She dedicated her life to science and animal welfare, but her journey took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with a grade 2 malignant breast carcinoma. The six months of chemotherapy that followed threw her life into turmoil, prompting her to reassess her beliefs and path in life.
Jenny's cancer diagnosis led her to a deeper exploration of faith, and she emerged from the experience as a "Minister in Secular Employment." She is now one of a small number of ministers who use social media to reach a wide and diverse audience, bridging the gap between science, faith, and spirituality. As a strong advocate for the compatibility of science and religion, Jenny is also a cancer survivor and a female vicar navigating a traditionally patriarchal system.
